A celebration of fibre artist - Jutta Faulds

THREADS Exhibition
Tatham Art Gallery 05 December 2013 – 23 February 2014

Jutta Faulds – fiber artist, crafter, quilter, knitter extraordinaire, teacher, organiser, chemist and friend to many… turns eighty at the end of this year.

In recognition of her extraordinary contribution to the development of Fibre Art both nationally and internationally, the Tatham Art Gallery plans to host an exhibition in December 2013.

The exhibition concept:
An exhibition ( working title: THREADS)  in the Main Gallery made up of works by Jutta’s friends, acquaintances, fellow quilters and fibre artists, which celebrate Jutta’s contribution to artistic creativity in our country.  This will be supported by an exhibition of Jutta’s own artworks from the Tatham Art Gallery collection and other private/public collections. The exhibition will run from 5 December 2013 until 23 February 2014.  Works need to reach the Tatham Art Gallery by the end of October 2013.  Artworks submitted can be for sale.

When talking to Jutta recently and referring to her ability to create ‘out of the box’ she said, “I have never had a box!”  And in that spirit we invite you to join us in celebrating this wonderfully creative woman, by creating an artwork or submitting an appropriate recent work that you have already made.

Please indicate whether you would be interested in participating in this celebration by contacting Bryony Clark no later than the 15 April 2013.  I will then send you a participant’s form.
