2018 World Quilt Competition: CALL FOR ENTRIES

Hello!   

South African quilt entries are now invited for the annual World Quilt Competition!

It’s a wonderful opportunity to exhibit your quilts in the USA with shipping and customs handled by the World Quilt Competition organisers. This is the 18th consecutive year that South Africa has taken part in the competition.

The attached South Africa Entry Form has all the information and here’s a brief summary:

·         The competition has categories for both Traditional and Innovative quilts with cash awards.

·         The minimum quilt size is 8,361 square cm’s (multiply the length of the quilt by the width).

·         MAY 15, 2018 is the closing date for Entry Form and JPG images. Use attached no.2 SA Entry Form.

·         Quilts must have been completed in 2016, 2017 or 2018.

·         There is a non-refundable fee of R100.00 per entry. If your quilt is selected there is a further R200.00 fee.

·         Accepted entries will premiere at World Quilt New England in August 2018 and then tour to other Mancuso shows in the USA.

Ninor Courtnage en Mariëtte Venter. Ninor is lid van die Gilde sedert 1990 en het hard gewerk die afgelope paar  jaar om  al haar UFO`s  te voltooi!

"Show and Tell" - wenner: Wilna Geel.  Haar wenkwiltjie is `n ontwerp van Griet Lombaard. Sy het die  klas by die Nasionale Kwiltfees  2013 in Bloemfontein aangebied. Baie geluk Wilna!
