On the blog called Sophie Junction I found the tutorial for these free pieced Rose blocks.

Shaving cream printing on fabric

If I ever decide to make a bucket list, attending one of LuAnn Kessi's classes would definitely be on it.  LuAnn just down't seem to have limitations on what to try as can be seen in THIS POST from her blog.

Karin was so kind to share this with us so I'm wondering is this an invitation for a play date Karin?  Maybe we should contact Glenda from Amafu first as she too has a world of knowledge regarding fabric painting/printing in her head!

How to use a zipper foot

We quilters tend to stick with the machine feet we use the most and forget all about the rest of the feet that came with the machine and occasionally we do need them too.  I’ve placed several posts on zippered bags and this is where this post comes in.

Even though it may seem basic to most sewers believe it or not but I have actually met a lady who has been sewing for years, making clothes for others and all the while her zipper foot was clipped on backwards.  Now you decide….. a versatile foot or a talented lady?!

I found this video by Sewing Parts Online to show us exactly how to install and use a zipper foot.

Foundation piecing scrappy triangles

Amanda Jean from the blog Crazy Mom Quilts made good use of her scraps when she decided to make these scrappy triangle blocks.

I am not sure I would go this small but she says you can make these in any size you prefer.  To see her process and to get going on your own, click HERE.

Wonky Log Cabin tutorial

When Karin and I spent a quilting weekend in June together she made wonky log cabin blocks.  However when we get together it always turns into a massive eating, drinking and chatting contest and I never paid attention to how she made these or I could simply showed you her step by step progress.

Fear not with people like Theresa from the blog My Patchwork making time to put together tutorials for our enjoyment.

To see how Theresa went about to make these; simply click HERE for this colorful tutorial.

Disappearing 9-Patch Variation

I know there are many tutorials on variations for the Disappearing 9-Patch block but occasionally I find a tutorial so neatly put together, it simply stands out from the rest and today I found this one on the Chock-A-Block Quilt Blocks blog (almost got me confused there!).

Not only will you see pictures to go with every step but looking at the colors in the completed quilt, makes you want to make one too!  Take a look at the tutorial HERE.

3D DUCK PATTERN

While browsing the net the other day, I found this cute little duck pattern. As I know there are new moms to be or even a new granny can make this for the new members of the family. I just love the 3D part of it. Visit Sew we quilt over HERE for the free pattern.

Enjoy it.

We can all do with a little pouch especially in the car to keep the change for the car watch or the beggar at the traffic light and when I saw this little cutie I thought it would be perfect for that.

Strippy basketweave block

I'm really not too clever when thinking what to do with my leftover fabrics.  Mine gets used mostly for applique shapes but Beth from the blog Love laugh quilt had a quick fix for her leftover strips.

Pretty, fast, not much measuring (it seems) and there you go - a brand new project.  Find this no-nonsense pictorial over HERE.
