Every quilt told a story and Iessie kept the audience captivated with the history of every quilt.
Iessie thanked Dr Johan van Zyl and his personnel for hosting this event for the Oranje Quilters Guild.
Dr Vickey Heunis thanked the Guild for their contributions through the years and asked for the Guilds' continued support in future projects.
After Chairperson Christa Gouws said a few words, it was time to admire all the beautiful quilts on display.
By this time all the guests present, worked up a healthy appetite and was treated to exquisitely prepared canapes.
Our Guild would hereby like to thank Iessie Steenberg for all the years she had organized it
and wish Gerda Cronjé all the best for the future.
