Kraal to Castle - Odette Tolksdorf

Class 109 – Page 38 – Monday & Tuesday, 1 & 2 July – 2 full days

I often realize that I learn equally as much from my fellow students in a class and this class with Odette promises to be just that.  Odette allows communication and sharing ideas in her class which encourages students to discover new avenues to explore their work and trust in their own decisions.

Using round thatch roof huts, traditional to many rural areas in South Africa, you’ll be varying your block sizes using simple piecing, applique, reverse applique and raw-edge seams.  A combination of hand and machine stitching will be used to finish this small or medium sized wall hanging.

Should you need more information or simply feel our photos do not live up to your standards, feel free to contact Odette at:

*We'd appreciate you sharing this on your Facebook for all those quilting friends who might not read the blog regularly*
