Let’s have coffee with Mari Strydom, owner of Lappiesland - a quilt shop in Bultfontein

Mari started quilting 10 years ago and the first quilting group she joined was the ‘Tolbosse’ in Bultfontein.  Approximately 3 years ago she joined the group ‘Lappoppe’ with most of the members having been taught to quilt by Mari herself.

Her shop also does free motion quilting for clients and Mari teaches countrywide.  Her teaching varies from traditional to art quilts.  She herself prefers innovative and art quilts but she’ll often use a traditional background for this.
